WHAT DOES A PROPERTY MANAGER ACTUALLY DO IN TEXAS?

Property managers must be licensed in Texas.

Their job is to step into the shoes of the landlord and handle the everyday tasks associated with owning a rental property.

This would include coordinating repairs, paying repair personnel, screening applicants who want to rent the property, collecting deposits and rents, ensuring the house meets Texas code, writing leases that protect owners, handling evictions if needed, dealing with assistance animals, documenting property condition at tenant move-in and move-out, withholding security deposit funds if a tenant has caused damage, following landlord laws, and many more tasks.

An owner could do this work themselves but most landlords understand hiring a professional will save them time, headaches, money, and will keep them out of court.

Texcen Realty provides an online bookkeeping program that gives you 24/7 access to your account.
