Austin TX is hit with rare ice storm...

The temperature hovered at 32+- degrees all night & all day for three days.

Driving was affected, and grocery stores, schools & businesses were closed.

The largest amount of damage came in the form of trees breaking apart from

the weight of the ice. Ice Accumulations of 3/4" were found in some areas.

Electricity was out in some areas from the branches falling on electrical wires.
